Can anyone confirm what format the 1.85:1 ratio is? Just done 10 Things I Hate About You R1 DVD and MediaInfo shows it as 4:3, but a quick google shows its as 16x9.

10 Things I Hate About You is a letterboxed DVD. Meaning it is widescreen put into a 4:3 frame. Unfortunately, many DVD's are like that. Many movie companies market them as "widescreen" or note their letterboxed aspect ratio. Unless they actually say "formatted for widescreen TV's" or something to that affect they are actually letterboxed. The only way to get rid of the black bars is to run the video through something like Handbrake, which reduces the quality in the process.
