DVDFab now supports Japanese UHD BDAV discs
DVD Fab has released a new version of its UHD BD COPY tool which bypass UHD BDAV protection.
クローンモードでテレビ番組録画したUltra HD Blu-rayディスク（シャープの 4Kレコーダー で録画したUltra HD Blu-ray限定）にも対応します。

dumb question: what are UHD BDAV discs?
tried to look it up but couldn't find an answer.

This is Japanese-only thing for now. One can record UHD TV broadcast to blu-ray media (with appropriate hardware recorder). The resulting disc is UHD BDAV with AACS 2 protection.

I have some BD discs recorded using a Japanese satellite recorder. The content is 4K satellite TV programs from Japanese BS. The DVDFab 4K Recorder Copy product can save the recorded discs as ISO image files. The recorded disc content uses the uniquely Japanese AACS 2 protection technology. Now, when I try to read this disc with MakeMKV, it shows that it cannot be opened.
