How to Train Your Dragon - The Hidden World

So I just got my freshly released How to Train You Dragon 3, The Hidden World 4k UHD and obviously since it just released today there are no keys for MakeMKV to use. What do I need to do to help move this process along? I would like to digitize my 4k copy over the standard bluray copy.

As a matter of fact, there is something you can do! :) Mike made a post about it.
As a reminder, if a disk key is not known then protected disc will fail to open. MakeMKV will save a disc dump in this case, called "AACS dump". Please send these dumps to svq@makemkv.com .
When you try to open a disc MakeMKV can't decrypt, it will show a message saying where it saved an AACS dump file. Just attach that file to an email and send it to the address above. This will help get decryption keys added to the database more quickly.

Thanks, I was continuing to read and research and found that info in some other threads... I have submitted the .tgz file created from the dump. For those who are parents of young kids like me and bought this movie, I submitted the request today. :D

It looks like the keys for this movie just came out.

You sure? It still says the keys aren't known here.

MakeMKV downloaded the new keys this morning. My USA copy is ripping now.

Doesn't work. It errors out with "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit" when I decrypt the disc. I don't even get a chance to rip it.

There are at least 3 different versions of this disc that I know of, you may have yet another version, you need to send a dump file, follow these instructions below in quotes.
Be sure and use the latest version of MakeMKV.
Send them to the email address below, do not post them here on the forum.

"Now, thanks to few heroic individuals and a big magic crystal ball, keys for some UHD discs are available. The keyfile can be downloaded at link below . This keyfile includes all doom9 UHD keys as well, so this is the one ultimate file you have to put into MakeMKV data directory. As a reminder, if a disk key is not known then protected disc will fail to open. MakeMKV will save a disc dump in this case, called "AACS dump". Please send these dumps to svq@makemkv.com."

Curious about where you got yours and which version? I have the basic 4K (non-exclusive) version from Target. Still not working, but only sent my log in last night.

Mine worked now. I have the double disk (standard bluray and 4K bluray) from Amazon.

Hoping I don't have a bad disc. I thought maybe it was the Libredrive not being enabled on my drive (never been an issue in the past), as it gave me that error once in lieu of the "couldn't find the keys" error. But, I've enabled that, and it's back to the keys error.

Maybe, Mike's just busy with the holiday and all.

I got my copy from Amazon, it does not show any region code on the case or disc and i am unable to access the disc at all in MakeMKV. I have an ASUS BW-16D1HT With Firmeware ver 3.10 patched with libre drive, and i have successfully used this drive with 26+ other movies so far without issue. I hear the drive spin up, like it's going to access it, but after about 45-60 seconds the drive spins down and shows no disc is in that drive. Anyone have any thoughts? I popped another UHD disc in to see if maybe the drive went bad, but that one opened up just fine... Any help would be appreciated.

I am also running windows 10 Build 17763 & Make MKV Ver 1.14.4

Clean it with a microfiber cloth. Yes, I know, right out of the box and into the drive, no visible dust, blah blah blah. LOL We've had a bunch of these threads. The ASUS drive is very sensitive and a LOT of these discs ship with some kind of invisible film on them. Just try it. If it doesn't work, then it may be one of the discs the ASUS drive simply does not like.

P.S. There is no region coding on UHD.
