The newly-released UHD blu-ray of Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" (1980) cannot be decrypted in the latest version of MakeMKV. (This copy was purchased from Best Buy online, arrived a day early.) I've submitted the dump file to svq@makemkv.com.

I've submitted the dump file as well. Let's hope they get it readable.

Also, did anyone else ever notice they NEVER fixed STAND BY ME on 4K? I've submitted it multiple times. What gives on that?

It's not. MakeMKV can detect the AACS version. The Shining UHD is NOT AACS 2.1.

Using LibreDrive mode (v05 id=DA23CAE0BD2F)
Downloading latest HK to D:/MakeMKV ...
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
Saved AACS dump file as D:/MakeMKV/MKB20_v68_The_Shining_53F0.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

Looks like the program failed to download the update. firewall? running from a different dir? something else?

Double check that "Allow contacting web server for updates" in Preferences in MakeMKV is checked.
