UHD 2001: A Space Odyssey Error

Post by GeorgePeck »

I've looked carefully at all previous posts about this title. I don't see anything I'm doing wrong. I've sent in the debug file 5 days ago. This is an Amazon purchase. Every other disc i purchased works fine. Is it just a new key and I need to be patient, or am I missing something?

It's likely a new print with a new key. If you've sent in the dump already, then unfortunately all you can do at this point is wait.

Is there a way to tell if the OP's disc has a new key? I didn't have any trouble with my copy.

@GeorgePeck … MakeMKV will download keys as needed assuming you've got that preference turned on (it is on by default). I assume you have that enabled?

^ Not a new key then, but perhaps an alternate one or a different region.

New key downloaded and title backed up! (with difficulty, however -- I finally had to back it up and then extract MKV from the backup).

But, the new key was obtained.
