Flash 1.04-MK first. You cannot go straight from 1.04 to 1.02.
1.04-MK doesn't actually seem to exist. Am I overlooking something here?
Okay. I managed to roll it back by flashing a different drive FW on there and then flashing the actual model number to 1.02. It's reading UHD discs now. Quick question got a FW that you recommend in terms of speed and reliability for this model? This FW seems, slow.
Basically the UHD firmwares read at 4x to 6x. The only firmware that is faster belongs to the official UHD drive, the WH16NS60 which reads at 6x to 8x.
Cheers :D

Hi.

1. Make sure that AnyDVD is NOT running!!
2. As you have VS 2019 installed, I assume you also have .net framework 3.5 installed? (3.5 is required)
3. Does your windows user account have "Administrator" level access?
Cheers :D

Hi.

I have shutted down firewall (a global security), AnyDVD HD and Deamon Tools.
My computer is configured to run .net framework 3.5
I am admin in my OS and admin rights has been enabled too to run this app.

Still blocking.

The Goal to be able to view locally DVD and Blu Ray's I own in my house.

Looks like the MakeMKV plus LibreDrive are a great option. See my ASUS specs below

Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1HT
Revision: 1.01
Serial number: K92DALG1030
Firmware date: 2113-02-05 19:30
Bus encryption flags: 1F
Highest AACS version: 19

After hours of reading and installing the above ASUS am I out of luck for DVD & Blu Ray to digital? (Only new firmware after installing not documented)

Or is there other software like Handbrake or other software if I have no need for UHD transfers?

Thanks for any Help available.

Welcome! You could do with a new UHD friendly blu ray drive for sure but as far as other software to be able to backup your discs no, MakeMKV is all you need. if you need to transcode the "rips" afterwards then yes Handbrake or a similar app will be needed.

As far as your new drive I'd be happy to supply you with one please have a look at my thread for info and contact information.

As does the ASUS firmware at a cost considerably lower than the LG :-)

Not sure what is happening there. How is your drive connected? Are you able to use a different computer?

Hi.

I have VirtualBox and it works perfectly in these two OS : Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 10 Pro 64 bits. But It was just to test app in others environments without flashing VirtualBox device, cause is evident.
I currently try to get a Windows PE with modified structure to embed your software and firmwares (and dotnet).

I don't understand why on my main system it doesn't work.
Maybe there is a conflict ! Maybe not !

Thank you, my case is just desesperate.

Note : I have SATA drives on Z270X-Ultra Gaming-CF motherboard. And not able to use others computers (I have : 1 tower PC, 1 laptop PC, 1 tablet PC, 2 barebones). In last case, I can remove all disks in my main tower PC and install fresh Windows on it (I have old harddrive disks for this). But if I can do it normally, I will be happy. Sorry !

Are your SATA ports using RAID? If so, turn off raid as this can cause issues.

Well I am officially stumped!! I cannot think of a reason why it is not working for you. Perhaps someone else may have a suggestion for you?

I was previously using the WH16NS60 1.0 firmware for my WH16NS40 drive as i thought that was the best. Is the 1.02MK firmware better?
