Just in case you might be still interested in Buffalo firmwares, they released a new FW update tool [brdrive_fwupdater_200.exe], featuring:

a. Buffalo_BU40N_FW_Updater_2.01.exe
b. Buffalo_BH16NS58_FW_Updater_2.01.exe

Can anyone confirm if this works on a device that shows up as a BU11 rather than a BN11 in the modified ASUS flasher?

My friend with bu11 can successfully downgraded to bu11 with the "DE_flash_HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_BU10.bin" firmware. Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I found there is a new firmware at here. I extracted the latest BU12 for my BRUHD-PU3. How can I make it as MK firmware?

Hi,

Here is the BU12 for BRUHD-PU3 extracted from buffalo.jp. According to the site, it fixed Sony BD-QL media and DVD-RW write protect. How can I make it as MK firmware? Thanks.

Interesting. I've never ever seen BFxx (or a single reference to it).

Yeah, it was an Amazon.com listing. One of the answers to a question was that it has firmware BF11. Don't know if that was actually correct or a typo? Anyway, I decided not to buy it.
Cheers :D

congrats on the upgraded drive, one question though - what updater did you use to get to bn11, I'm seeing only the 2.00 updater from Buffalo which you linked earlier, not sure if this contains what I need?
Do I even need to update or do I just cross-flash to 1.03 from Mike?

Thanks for all the info!
