WH16NS40 Hash Check Errors

I just got my WH16NS40 SVC NS50drive today and I tried ripping my first UHD with it. I flashed the unit to the MK 1.03 version of the firmware with no issue and MakeMKV show that it was LibreDrive supported. I started the rip and about 20 minutes from the end it failed with 9 'HashCheck Errors. I tried ripping it to a few different drives to see if the communication was the problem, same thing. Sometimes it would fail just a few minutes in and sometimes 40+ minutes in. So I decided to try the NS60 1.00 firmware as a few people have suggested. It ripped quite a bit faster, but still failed with the errors about 10 minutes from being done. I'm running an iMac15,1 with MacOS 10.14.5 and MakeMKV 1.14.4. The disc I used for the rip is Captain Marvel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. clean disk
2. try different disk
3. try different drive

not to discourage you but i have had quite a few detective drives i feel like LGs quality control.

I guess I will see if I can send the drive back. the disc is brand new with no marks of any kind. I also tried a couple other discs and same problem. Thanks!

Assuming your drive is connected externally to your iMac via USB, try double checking the USB port or the USB cable if the communication between your drive to the iMac is stable. A couple of years ago, I borrowed my friend’s external LG blu ray drive in a Vantec enclosure, hooked to my Mac. The ripping would be stop after 20-30 mins of reading. After many hours of troubleshooting, the root problem was the USB port of the Vantec enclosure was defective. The connection from the external drive via USB 3 to the Mac was not stable. I'm on Mavericks 10.9

I am receiving the same error when I’m ripping UHD movies. I have the WH16NS60 and flashed it to firmware version 1.0. It’s installed in my Windows tower so no USB issues there.

I was successfully able to rip Shazam, Us and Black Hawk down but Toy Story and Bohemian Rhapsody both failed.

I thought LibreDrive was supposed to ser convent the need for hash codes?

LibreDrive can circumvent read restrictions imposed at the FW level. If the raw data on the disc cannot be read, LibreDrive will not magically remedy that.

If you're referring to title keys, then no, that isn't what LibreDrive is supposed to do.
