LG WH16NS60 + LibreDrive firmware 1.2K + VLC MediaPlayer

DVDFabPassKey

I can rip UHD discs and play both DVDs and Blurays with no issues, however I would like to be able to play UHD discs on VLC media player, for any I have yet to rip or do not wish to rip.

When I play any UHD disc I receive the following ""this disc seems to be encrypted"
In the DVDfab logfile I can see the following error: sensekey 05 asc 6F acsq 01

I have reached out to DVDFab support, but I am wondering if libredrive firmware 1.2 may be causing issues here. If so, is it recommended to downgrade it to 1.0?

this is not really related to makemkv support but whatever.

a few options,
use makemkvs libs with VLC and it will work with no menus in vlc with no further firmware modification.
yes downgrade to 1.00 is required for any dvdfab product to work with UHD

After much frustration today and after downgrading to 1.0 and it not working, it all of a sudden the drive decides it now wants to work with all software with firmware 1.0

Both playing and ripping.
