Question about the BC-12D2HT

Hello
I'm looking for a drive to rip standard non UHD Blu-Rays with and stumbled upon the BC-12D2HT from ASUS.
Looking through this forum I saw lots of posts about having to flash the drive to get it to work with UHD discs.
But what about regular BDs? Does this drive work out of the box without having to flash it fist?

Yes it works without having to flash it for regular Blu-rays
