Hi everyone,
If your "UHD Friendly" drive currently has "unfriendly firmware", I can flash it for you, or you can purchase a "ready to go!" drive from me!!
The most common "UHD Friendly" drive models in Australia are:
LG BH16NS55
ASUS BW-16D1HT-Pro
LG BP50NB40 (cross-flashed to either a BP60NB10 or BU40N "official" UHD drive)
Drives I can (try to) order (import):
LG BU40N (Depends on availability).
LG WH16NS60 (Very hard to get. Also depends on availability).
Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK (easier to get, but expensive!)
Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD (MD-8107S-U3YC-UHD) (Depends on availability)
If you are unsure about your drive being UHD comaptible, please ask...

Two things:
Try crossflashing the LGs with the ASUS 3.01 and check the speed improvement.

Yeah, thanks Alex. I personally have 2 x LG BH16NS55's. 1 is fw 1.02 and the other is ASUS 3.02, which is a little bit faster.
As I mentioned in the first post, I am happy to cross-flash to the ASUS firmware for customers on request. I just thought it'd be nice to give everone the choice when purchasing!!

Not quite! I'd say about 15% faster. I've ripped the same UHD on both of my drives as a test and the ASUS firmware was approx 6 minutes faster.

2 x LG BH16NS55's. One with LG 1.02 and the other with ASUS 3.02. Same UHD disc.
