The Linux version does not include the ccextractor program to extract Closed Captions, expecting it to already be installed on your system. If the disk you're trying to rip has Closed Captions, the default selection rule will attempt to rip them, but you don't have the program to do it, so it fails.

You can test this by unselecting the CC tracks from each title.

Ok i did test it by unselecting cc and it works. I did follow someone steps to setup ccextractor on linux i followed the steps right and it said no issues. I did pinpoint makemkv to my ccextractor in makemkv directory and it still came up with the closed caption error.

i followed this thread https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 2&start=15 and still closed caption error I was hoping to copy closed captions from makemkv since im hard of hearing. I was hoping to do it all in one steps.

Are you still getting this error? I also am on Linux Mint, and wanted to get CC in one step. It took a bit of fiddling with ccextractor, but I did get it all working correctly.

in order to get ccextrator installed, i followed the directions at https://github.com/CCExtractor/ccextrac ... stallation
I did it all from the command line -- if you're not super familiar with command line, the wiki has most of it, but I did get a couple redirected package locations. the error messages had what I needed to correct things, so read them carefully.
then set the ccextractor location in the makemkv preferences, and hey presto, close captions.
