Confused on hash files

Post by Jman5150 »

I saw the post with the hash files opened it and saw all the text. What do we do with that? Is there an install?

Also ive noticed a pattern that 4k blurays so far eject upon loading them and their blurays load but transfering them fails. Normal blurays (not with 4k are loading so far.

Not sure what im doing wrong?

Hash files are data that MakeMKV uses to match the "hash" made from reading a disk with the decryption key needed for that disk. Yes, they're text. They need to be put in your MakeMKV data directory, but ONLY if you've disabled automatic updates, or your system is blocking them.

UHD disks being ejected means you probably do not have a UHD-compatible drive.
