Hi all

I'd like to know more about the present state of the of the art for backing up uhd content that must be "supported" by the consumer player. For example hdr10+ and Dolby vision content . The consumer player must "support" such content, which means it either pays homage to Dolby and/or adheres to the sammy panny fox alliance. Does the consumer player serve up different bits to the tv than makemkv can extract from the same disk?

Moved to the appropriate topic, because this involves more than just UHD disks.
