Hi everyone,

When I play, for example, Rise of the Planet of the Apes on my TV, I dont get the enforced subtitles. So I don't understand what the apes are saying... When I start the Film, or any other Film, in VLC Media Player on PC everything works.

Anything i can do to make it work on my TV?

"Smart TV" is a relative term. They're smarter than a plain old monitor, but rarely smart enough to have all the features you think they have.

One of the features that is woefully lacking on most of them is support for subtitles OTHER THAN text-based ones. DVD, Bluray, and UHD Bluray all use graphic subtitles - they're pictures to be overlaid on the main picture.

If you are using player software (like VLC) or have a hardware media player, subtitle support is much broader.

I'd usually suggest that, if you're expecting subtitles on the TV, you process the file through handbrake and burn the forced subtitles into the video, but, if you're dealing with UHD with "High Dynamic Range", that doesn't work so well right now.
