Makemkv Ripping Issue in Mac OS

Post by varnam111 »

Hi, I have installed makemkv for Mac OS. I had ripped bluray folder from bluray disc selecting "backup" option and in the popup, I have also selected "decrypt the video files". But when the folder was copied, it has "AACS" folder along with "BDMV" and "Certificate" folders. When I try to play the file, it is not playing. When I try similar steps in Windows, I was able to play the movie. There is no "AACS" folder in the copied Bluray folder. I did use "BDMV Modifier" in Windows after ripping the disc. Please help me if I am missing something. Thanks.

I've moved your message to the processing/playback section because that is more likely where your problem lies.

What player are you using on the Mac?

I often make decrypted Blu-ray backups on my Mac. The resulting folder structure often looks like this:

Code: Select all

<Movie Name>
     BDMV
     CERTIFICATE
     MAKEMKV
          AACS
          CMAP
          discattd.dat
So yes, there is an AACS folder, but it lives inside the MAKEMKV folder. Is that where your AACS folder is?
