Multiple .M2TS files for UHD movie

Hi everyone, I hope Im in the right place. If not I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

First Issue- I have downloaded Full UHD BD of a few films and while I know how to watch them, the movie itself is more than 1 m2ts file. Is Make MKV the solution for combining the .m2ts into one m2ts file without losing any of the audio/visual qualities of the original rip.

Second issue- I dont really care for having different languages other than english, nor do I care for the extras that come with the full BD download, but it seems that only the full downloads have DOLBY VISION support and not the remuxs? Am i understanding this right? Why dont remuxs support dolby vision?

appreciate any help here sorting this out.

Thanks

MakeMKV is primarily intended for working with optical media, but it can work with "ISO files" and directory structures, assuming certain criteria are met.

DVDs and BDs have files that tell the player how to assemble the parts of the video in the correct order to make up a title. MakeMKV uses these "play lists" to construct stand-alone MKV files.

hello woodstock. Need a little more knowledge on this.

1) I am trying to make a remux from the full .m2ts file for a certain movie which is around 80 GB. I hope that the DV and Atmos track will get intact. The Movie has dual layer video streams. Anything specific that i need to do to acquire this result.

2) What is the difference between ripping from optical media and from full BD downloaded from net. Does MakeMKV has any limitations when ripping from downloaded .m2ts file.

An "ISO from the net" (i.e., pirate copy) will not necessarily have all the information MakeMKV needs for removing encryption. Some of that information is drive-dependent.

If the person who created the ISO removed the encryption already, MakeMKV should be able to figure things out if you open the ISO file directly.
