Did MakeMKV not make a recommendation?

MakeMKV did not recommend a playlist.

I thought it was one of those discs that has 7 playlists but only one ended up copying. Instead 4 copied and 2 failed. 3 of the four are similar in segment map. One segment map is different and time is different. There is t07 at 1:37:21 / 2-18 might be it instead of the four that are about 1:35:00 / 6-23 / t08, t09 or t10.

One playlist DID NOT bubble up to the top and say MAIN FEATURE (I can't remember what it actually usually says.

vlc reports the correct title as "70".

MakeMKV says:

Code: Select all

Title #70 was added (17 cell(s), 1:37:21)
And this closely matches:

Code: Select all

Source title ID: 59
Duration: 1:37:21
Chapters count: 17
Size: 5.4 GB
Segment count: 1
Segment map: 2-18
File name: title_t03.mkv
My other backup utilities were not able to copy this disc.

That only works with Blu-Ray’s.
You would use the same process here that you and I discussed in the Chappaquiddick thread.

Anyone know the rental version title number? I don't have a 70 on my blu ray.

This is the DVD forum. You need to post the Blu-ray results here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=18351

Read this thread and you'll be able to figure out the correct title to rip on the DVD, and then you can post the correct one back to this thread.

I just ripped this on Handbrake using title 58 successfully. I know others that contributed to this tread probably figured it out, but it sucks that no one ever takes the time to share their success.

This will always be difficult for Lionsgate DVD's due to their spoofing technology that is designed to fool rip engines. The only way I ever figure it out is to try each title until one works. I have the most success using Handbrake vs. MakeMKV for this.

So....for those that figure out the correct titles for these hard to rip titles, PLEASE post your success...with the proper rip title. Thanks!
