Comment on new Streetlock protection

I read Mike's posting about the new Streetlock. Good grief, what won't they try next. 
IMHO, any person who buys one of these discs and gets caught up having to fetch the stupid key manually should return the disc as defective. If enough customers return their purchases, maybe, just maybe the practice will be stopped for not being cost effective.
