3 files, different size, content looks the same

Post by brgiraffe »

After ripping, I get 30 files. The largest files are:
  • t01.mkv - 25,291,756 KB
    t02.mkv - 25,293,805 KB
    t03.mkv - 25,292,007 KB
Looking at the files with MediaInfo, they all appear to have the same specifications (resolution, video codec, language, etc). I even exported the specs in TXT format and compared. Viewing the file in VLC, they all appear to be the same.

Is this standard practice on some Blurays to fill up the space with similar files?

You try very hard to remove the information necessary to answer your question.

If it's a Disney title, the first one is English. The difference would be in the titles and credits, and any scenes that have signs in them.

If it isn't a Disney title, there is insufficient information to guess.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know if specific names can be mentioned on this forum. I don't see any differences in the titles or credits. Must be very minor differences in the movie itself.

Specific names aren't forbidden, and are often important in determining the answer. If it were a Lionsgate disk, sometimes you need to know where it was purchased to get the right answer.
