MakeMkv ignores an audio track language and the subtitles for that language

so on this bluray i have makemkv seems to ignore japanese tracks, and instead creates two english audio tracks, sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum, i just needed to ask i'm the first one to encounter this error and can it be fixed, also is MakeMkv better supported in windows cause if this is a linux only issue or is this over all platforms

I have not seen this behavior. Well, not if you haven't selected a preferred language in Preferences->Language. If it is not set to "None", the default behavior is to not select any other language.

What I have seen are BDs and DVDs that say their tracks are English, when they are not. Many subtitled anime titles only have "English" audio, but are actually Japanese tracks. I suspect this is done so they play in players that have English selected as their preferred language.

When both languages are available on a dubbed title, there will be tracks tagged as Japanese and tracks tagged as English.
