Blu-ray wont read but plays in DVD/PS4

Just upgraded to the Blu-ray version of Pride and Prejudice and my drive wont even recognize the disc. It plays fine in my PS4. I've ripped my whole library 600+ disc's and have never had this issue. When I load the disc it tries to read the disc but gives up after a minute or so. Is there some kind of protection which won't let a computer drive read a disc? This is one of my favorite movies and would love to get it in my library. I have the SD version on the drive but the picture is 4x3 and dreadful digital artifacts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The PS4 has a Bluray drive. Is you computer's drive a BD?

Yes, my drive is a LG BD-RE WH14NS40. Most of my 600+ library is Blu-ray. This is not a read error during copying stage. The drive does not recognize the disc and the disc play in DVD/PS4.

It looks like Kenbell has a MT1939 era WH14NS40. Or at least did have in June of 2020.

Sounds like a bad disc to me (most likely the drive can't read the disc contents area which means it doesn't see the disc at all). If the disc doesn't show up in Windows Explorer either then you're out of luck. Best you can do is thoroughly clean it and hope for the best.

I've had a handful like this and never managed to get them going. All worked on normal blu-ray players, just for some reason the drive didn't like them.
