Just curious - What version number of MakeMKV did you use?

I have the same problem. My Blu ray of Laura just arrived (a great movie, BTW) and it failed to rip with exactly the same error indication...

"Failed to process BD+ code, please check....www.makemkv.com/svq for updated program and SVQ files."

I am minimally tech savvy and don't know what a SVQ file is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Other Blu rays and SD DVDs have ripped recently with no problem. I use Vortexbox, which incorporates makemkv, and have the latest version of their software.

Thank you.

You will have to wait until they update SVQ. SVQ is the file that has the key needed to defeat the BD+ disc encryption. Periodically studios modify or update these encryption keys to try to thwart pirates, or in reality, those of us who legally bought their over DRMd discs.

1.7.10.

The version does not (really) matter though. Every version since about 1.5 goes out to the internet for the latest SVQ files anyways.

Failed to process BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00000.svq
Saved BD+ dump file as /Users/Jason/.MakeMKV/dump_Laura_49C5D140E265CFF8.tgz
Failed to process BD+ code, please check http://www.makemkv.com/svq/ for updated program and SVQ files
Sending the dump file mentioned above to svq@makemkv.com will help Mike get an SVQ file created for it.

I did send it, hopefully see a fix soon.

Not cracked yet. Do they normally provide a response to acknowledge that they received an SVQ error dump via email?

Fixed with new SVQ file, thanks guys! Makes me glad to have registered MakeMKV some time ago, the ongoing support is great!

Hey so I'm completely new to posting on here but I've been reading through these posts and using MakeMKV for months to backup all my Blu-rays. I purchased the new Bond movie today and I run into the exact same problem as those with Laura. "BD failed to process BD+ code". I'm assuming its just a waiting game until you guys make an SVQ for this movie?

Sounds like a very reasonable assumption ;>}

And it will remain valid up until someone submits the TGZ file generated for the movie to Mike, per the instructions generated in the status window, like voip-ninja did for this movie... ;)

@Rych_22

Just to make sure, what is the version number of MakeMKV that you used to try to rip (I presume you're referring to) "Skyfall" (Not to be confused with "Downfall" or "Deadfall", both of which also came out on disc this week ;>})

I just used MakeMKV v.1.7.9 to make a successful full disc copy of Skyfall - so the SVQs must have been updated...

Interesting, because the Linux version of 1.7.10 won't do Skyfall for me. It fails on the BD+ decode.

Is it set to update in the options and does it have an internet connection?
