How do you come up with that title? The segment map is pretty close to this one picked by DVDfab Ripper
Title information
Name: John Wick
Source file name: 00641.mpls
Duration: 1:41:12
Chapters count: 16
Size: 19.9 GB
Segment count: 20
Segment map: 505,508,507,501,512,504,520,513,517,506,515,518,510,516,503,511,519,502,514,509
File name: John_Wick_t180.mkv
I haven't watched it yet, I only checked the scenes 50 minutes into the movie to see if they matched up.

Process of elimination. Not terribly time consuming, took about an hour.

Your list is off in this grouping..

515 Before Fight
518 Fight
510 After Fight
506 Last Look from Lobby, Clean wound from fight

Yours has this section all out of order.

404 seems to be the correct one. I will watch again later tonight and see if it is all in the correct order.

Thanks. I did 589.mpls for U.S. retail, but unsure.

On second thought....
mpls 641 seems to be the correct one.
506 should have been first in this list of scenes not last like I had it.

506 Last Look from Lobby, Clean wound from Previous fight
515 Before Fight
518 Fight
510 After Fight

Thanks for the help. Planning to go with 641.

A side issue. Is there an easy way to de-select all of the titles? They are all selected when I start MakeMKV. It's a pain de-selecting them 1 at a time...

I did a full chapter check and the chapters for 589.mpls matches the chapter times for the retail verson, so that is what I am using as well.

Chapters in the retail version are at:
0:00, 4:47, 12:21, 17:07, 26:25, 32:40, 36:24, 42:16, 45:33, 55:02, 59:27, 1:06:13, 1:14:15, 1:19:13, 1:27:29, 1:32:24

Without checking any video, and I don't even know how you figure what is on any particular segment without watching the movie, DVDfab automatically chooses 589 on retail and 641 on Red. Thats all I got.

Agree, puppy gate out of sequence. BTW I have the RedBox gimped version with only Dolby 5.1.

I put the disc in my bluray player and just jumped through the chapters and wrote down the time stamp for when each started, I did "cheat" from there and just compare those chapter marks with the retail one that others found (589.mpls) and it matched. Usually there aren't THAT many to pick from. It can become a bit mundane to scroll through all of the choices to find one with matching chapters. Other times I would put the movie in my computer and open it with Total Media Theater and get the info on what file(s) it was playing or even use AnyDVD to tell me the right order. Just some other options besides what you did. Not saying that what I mention is better, just different.

I don't know if the way I did it was right, wrong, easy, or hard, but it was all I could figure out. Out of 265 or so titles I didn't know what to do or how to do it, that's when I found this forum. I've been using DVDfab for about 12 years, but since I've gotten into BluRay, Makemkv seems to be the best way to get the movies to my NAS.

Brilliant, confirmed here with both versions.

Thanks mate
