I have Java installed on my machine just for helping to figure out which track to rip, so imagine my surprise when MakeMKV flagged 00399.mlps, I watched it and it was the wrong track. Is this a one-time glitch or have the movie studios found a new one way trick us?

Tried earlier post for mpls = 519 but no go.

Interestingly, on version 1.14.2, it placed as 422.mpls as main feature which I'm trying as my next alternate...

Just watched it. I also confirm that 519 is the proper title. Redbox version of course.

My MakeMKV chose 399.mpls, title 3 on my RB disc as the main feature. I already burned 519.mpls as suggested by Grisle. We'll see.
My MakeMkv 1.14.2 also returned 399 as the correct Main Feature mpls. Ill watch it tomorrow and post.

Mac version 1.14.2 also has Netflix at 399 as the suggested main title. I think this might be a bug in the Java logic? I'll try 519 and see if that works. Can others confirm that 399 is not the correct title?

Here's what each title looks like (segment-wise). Both titles are 1:56:50 in length.

Title 399: Segment map: 505,513,511,504,503,508,506,501,509,507,510,502,515,514,512
Title 519: Segment map: 505,513,511,508,503,504,506,509,501,507,510,502,515,514,512

Which one is correct? Java shows 399 for a Netflix disc.

I just took a fresh look at what I ripped which is 519 - and it is correct. 399 has a bunch of weird jump cuts early on that didn't make any sense.

Thanks. I'll rip 519.

I don't know about anyone else but none of the source files or segment lists referenced in this discussion match anything on my disc.

Blu Ray version, purchased off of Amazon... To be clear this is the O-Ring edition released on Dec 18, 2018... so I'm guessing it's possible Lionsgate changed their protection scheme???

After a process of elimination, the correct playlist is 00859.mpls (514,501,510,508,515,502,506,505,509,507,512,504,513,511,503)...

Can anyone confirm if there are more than one US retail versions? MakeMKV chooses this segment map as the correct choice:

Title information
Name: A Simple Favor
Comment: FPL_MainFeature
Source file name: 00422.mpls
Duration: 1:56:50
Chapters count: 16
Size: 32.6 GB
Segment count: 15
Segment map: 514,511,509,510,513,504,501,515,507,506,505,502,508,512,503

So I've been comparing 00422.mpls to the blu-ray disc. It's close to correct, but at the end of chapter 5 this segment map is wrong. There must be more than one retail version where the segments have new numbers. I would say that my blu-ray definitely starts out with 514, 511, and maybe 509. Can anybody help with the alternate version disc?

I presumably have the same disc as you, as my 422 segment map matches yours.

(Disc Timestamp: 2018-10-15 13:06:07. UPC 0 31398 29525 9 80)

It would be news to me if FPL_MainFeature was incorrect.
