Playback too fast

Post by steveneec »

Several times, I've ripped a Blu-ray disk with all seeming to go well. When I play back the file, it plays at 2x speed. I've tried converting the file to a .mpeg4 but the playback is still fast. Any suggestions? Never have this problem with standard discs.

What is a "Standard disc" ?

Cause of Speed trouble can be a wrong mastered disc or a bad playing software. But without more details ... the cristal ball have no answers.
Good Luck :)

I had this happen with blu-rays that had mono PCM tracks.

I got them working by converting the audio to stereo flac.

Just got mine fixed.

Use mkvtoolnix to save the mono pcm from the .mkv as a .mka file.

Use Pazera audio extractor to convert and save the .mka as stereo .flac.

Use mkvtoonix to combine the .flac and original .mkv file as a new file. Deselect the mono pcm in the original .mkv when you do this.

Mkv with the stereo .flac audio plays at the correct speed.
