How do I find one that is NS50? Amazon has several as well as New Egg. I'm not sure what that means or how to find out to order one.

What about the WH16NS60?

Yes, I think that would be best for me. How do I do that?

For anyone reading this post, I must say that spending many hours reading and researching this forum has greatly educated me in the world of 4K, Flashing, and programing in general.

I can also say that I was successful in flashing my DVD player but the player was defective. Cutting my losses and contacting Billycar11 to purchase a working player was the best decision I could have made. He is informative, prompt, and his player is working flawlessly.

I am now watching 4K/UHD movies from my computer. :D

Thank you Billycar11

Do you think I would be better off choosing a different driver to lessen my chances of getting a defective one

If so, which ones would have less of a chance?
according to me the burner is not defective, it is the wrong firmware that causes reading problems. I'm in your exact same situation and I don't think my drive is defective either, but I can't flash the BC-12D2HT 3.00 firmware using the crossflash tool.
