The exact one you suggested. However, googling the error code I found a thread in this forum which detailed my exact problem with an unusual solution which worked and I am now flashed with the file you suggested. forum post as follows and is how I worked around it
the file you should be flashing is HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin
i still recommend you flash to WH16NS60 1.02 or 1.00 as you may now be unable to burn disks and still have the sleepbug NS60 firmware fixes both of those problems.
but i can 100% confirm going from WH14NS40 1.04 to WH16NS60 1.02MK does work

I flashed the ASUS 3.10-MK as described in that post which finally allowed me to flash without an error message. I then, without restarting my pc, flashed the WH16NS60-1.02 and then restarted. Makemkv reads it now as libredrive enabled

Just to help me understand, why was it a good idea for me to flash a firmware for a drive other than the one I have?
